Research interests & biography:
My main interests are in theoretical ethics, especially in theories of practical reasons. I am currently working on a number of papers on the relation of values and reasons. I am also interested in action theory, moral psychology, normative ethics, and in political philosophy and philosophy of law.
Before I came to Leeds (in 2004) I was an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, and held a number of visiting positions and research fellowships both in the US and in the UK.
In 2008/9, I am going to be a faculty fellow of the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University.
